Introducing Output Norms in the Public Service Preoccupies Officials

A three-day seminar on the project for the introduction of output norms in the Cameroon Administration (PINORAC) took place at the conference room of Ntou’gouo Hotel in Yaounde on the 08th to the 10th September 2010.

Opening the seminar, the Permanent Secretary for Administrative Reform Madam EVEHE Jeanine said the objective of the seminar is to situate the context and the legal framework in elaborating output norms, and to equip participants with the know-how and professional abilities in elaborating these norms.

Organized by the Ministry of the Public Service and Administrative Reform with coordination from a private consultancy firm PANESS CONSEIL, the seminar enabled participants to identify the different tasks required in a duty post and to deduce the different forms of evaluating the output of the occupant of the said post, bearing in mind that the criteria for evaluation is based on the real effort deployed by the occupant to satisfy the users and the standards or pre-established norms set for evaluation.

Participants were drawn from all the services of the Ministry of the Public Service and Administrative Reform.
