AIGLES: FIRST NATIONWIDE TRAINING WORKSHOP ENDS WITH CALL FOR EFFECTIVE IMPLEMENTATION

The two-day training workshop on the Personnel and Payroll Management Application Software (AIGLES) ended on Friday, 23 October 2026, in Bafoussam, with participants called upon to apply the knowledge acquired and share their skills with colleagues.

The closing ceremony took place at the multipurpose hall of the Bafoussam City Council, with participants from the other nine regions following the proceedings via videoconference. Over the two days, participants from the Ministry of the Public Service and Administrative Reform (MINFOPRA) and the Ministry of Finance (MINFI) took part in practical exercises aimed at strengthening their mastery of the AIGLES application. The sessions covered key areas, including career management, payroll, retirement and pension files, messaging, and the use of the AIGLES portal.

Through these practical and interactive exercises, participants became more familiar with the software’s functionalities and processing procedures. The sessions also provided an opportunity to identify difficulties encountered in decentralised services and explore possible solutions with the support of technical teams. At the close of the workshop, the Minister of the Public Service and Administrative Reform, Mr. Joseph LE, urged regional delegations of MINFOPRA and regional financial controls, within their respective areas of responsibility, to “ensure strict compliance with procedures, proper use of the application and structured reporting of difficulties encountered.” Participants were also encouraged to act as resource persons within their respective services by sharing their knowledge with colleagues, promoting good practices and helping to resolve challenges within their scope of intervention.

The Minister stressed that AIGLES is an important tool for modernising the public administration, adding that its success depends on the collective ability to make it a well-mastered, reliable and useful tool for public service users, aligned with the vision of the Head of State, His Excellency President PAUL BIYA.
