MINISTER JOSEPH LÉ UNDERLINES QUALITY AND EFFICIENCY AS DRIVERS FOR THE SMART CAMPUS PROJECT

Board members and key stakeholders of the of the Steering Committee (COPIL) of the Smart Campus project, gathered on 20 August 2026, for the committee’s first ordinary session of the year 2026, at the Conference Hall of MINFOPRA Club. This session was one of evaluation and assessment and sought to review the progress achieved so far with the PROJECT FOR ENHANCING AWARENESS AND CAPACITY BUILDING FOR PUBLIC SERVICE TRANSFORMATION IN CAMEROON. With representatives of the Korea International Cooperation Agency, KOICA as co-chair, the session was held under the distinguished chairmanship of the Minister of Public Service and Administrative Reform and President of COPIL, Mister Joseph LÉ, accompanied by the Minister of Post and Telecommunications and Vice President of COPIL, Madame LIBOM LI LIKENG née MENDOMO Minette.

The SMART CAMPUS project involves the transformation of manual skills in the public service into harmonized digital skills, in a bid to promote e-government in key public training institutions in Cameroon. “The SMART CAMPUSES being built here at MINFOPRA, at ENAM, at SUP’PTIC, and at ISMP, are for the training of young Cameroonians who would like to get into public administration, and also to train staff already in public administration.” Minister Joseph LÉ.

During his keynote address, Minister Joseph LÉ asserted that COPIL is undertaking this project, with “Efficiency in execution, quality production and most importantly, sustainability” in view. SMART CAMPUS is part of the focus on the call by His Excellency, President PAUL BIYA, to promote digital technologies in Cameroon’s administration and the National Development strategy, SND30.
